2000 Bassplayer Maurice Sas and vocalist Raymond Markesteijn decide to form a death metalband Drummer Guido Theuns and guitarist René Huisdens join them Maurice comes up with the name Aratron, taken from The Book of Black Magic by Arthur Edward Waite After a few rehearsels, vocalist Raymond is replaced by Ronald van Baren 2001 The band plays a few gigs around their hometown 2002  Aratron splits up at the end of the year 2008 Maurice calls Ronald to start up the band again Arnold Griffioen joins them on drums Guitarist Mathijs Snoek joins them, but leaves after a few rehearsels 2009 Guitarist Tibor Lelkes joins the band 2010 The demo Horryfing Visions is released The band plays two gigs for promotion of their demo Tibor and Arnold leave the band and Maurice decides to continue with Aratron as his solo project 2013 With Oscar Alblas as session drummer, Michel Wijngaard for the guitar leads, Ronald on vocals and Maurice taking over the rythm guitar, the demo The Recovery is released 2015 Maurice and session drummer Damiën Kerpentier rehearse 8 new songs for the first full length album  2016 Darkness is Coming is released
